Cathy Berse

Cathy Berse is a nationally-acclaimed, Florida artist. She attended the University of Wisconsin, University of Tennessee, and the Milwaukee Area Technical College. In years past she has worked as a graphic designer, teacher and muralist. Cathy had been in numerous juried Paint Outs. Co-Written and Illustrated a book for the Atlantic Center for the Arts and Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna, Florida. Her work can be found in private homes in the U.S. and Europe as well as public spaces including New Smyrna Beach Florida City Hall, the New Smyrna Historical Museum, Advent Health Care Hospital, the Canaveral National Seashore and the White House.

Cathy says, “Everything I have ever done has had to do with art. It has been a wonderful journey. I found this quote and think of it often when I start a painting. ‘Beauty is powerful. It can inspire greatness, lift a heavy heart and stir a sleeping soul to life.’ My goal is to make viewers feel good and perhaps even smile.”
