“Drama Of The Sea”

As the sun dipped toward the horizon on a warm summer evening, the ocean revealed its timeless rhythm. This piece captures the magical moment around 7:00 p.m., as sunlight danced across the rolling waves, highlighting the silvery crests and deepening the blues beneath. High tide was near, and the water surged with both grace and might.

The artist, a lifelong observer of this very shoreline—just blocks from where she grew up—stood barefoot in the sand, completely immersed in the movement and music of the sea. Each wave was a study, each crash a note in nature’s symphony. You can almost hear the surf, feel the salt in the air, and sense the power she has admired since childhood.

For her, the ocean is not just a subject—it’s a lifelong companion. This painting is a tribute to its ceaseless energy and enduring beauty.

Natalia Andreeva Artist Photo

Natalia Andreeva

Natalia Andreeva is a professional Florida artist working in oil and watercolor. She emerged as an artist from the rich and fertile artistic climate of Novosibirsk, Siberia after graduating from its most prestigious art college. During her classical education in the canons of European art she was greatly influenced by eastern philosophy. Consequentially, Natalia's work is a harmonious marriage between spontaneous expressions and classical realism.
Among Natalia's favorite themes are exquisite landscapes, depicting the subtlety of nature, still life, where vibrant shapes and internal dynamics are shown in contrast to the commonplace subjects, and finally, figures and portraits brimming with humanity, and giving testament to the beauty and harmony of the human condition.

Natalia is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society. She also served as President of the Tallahassee Watercolor Society and Vice President of Plein Air Painters of Southeast.

From her early childhood, she was intrigued and fascinated by the enigma of art, this magical process that turns "nothing" into the harmonic tune of chaos. She adores this something that gives birth to new feelings and associations.

Learning art techniques did not diminish her interest and surprise; it deepened her passion for art. All this may be the reason why the actual process of creation gives her the most pleasure. Each work is a continuation of the quest and each new step develops her feelings and intensifies her exploration of the magic of art.

She prefers a personal experience of her subjects – painting landscapes, portraits, still life on location; and she follows her mood in choosing the motive. She loves color. She believes in its power – how it burns, cools, speaks. It is part of the spell.
