Cathy Berse, known for her delightful and humorous bird paintings, has a rare gift: the ability to make viewers feel seen and understood—often with just a glance at a feathered character. Her birds are far more than birds; they are quirky, expressive, and undeniably human. With each brushstroke, Cathy captures the everyday personality traits and little emotional quirks that we all recognize in ourselves. A raised eyebrow, a puffed chest, a sideways glance—they speak volumes.
There’s a moment of connection in every piece. Whether it’s a bird that looks suspiciously like your grumpy coworker or one that perfectly embodies that “I’ve had enough today” mood, Cathy’s art resonates. Her sense of humor is the bridge between artist and collector, turning each painting into a shared smile or a quiet laugh.
Every Cathy Berse painting is more than decoration—it’s a wink, a chuckle, and a reminder that we’re not alone in our most human moments.
