Collection: Bill Farnsworth

Bill Farnsworth is a nationally acclaimed fine artist and illustrator. As a 1980 graduate of The Ringling School of Art and Design, Bill has spent more than 40 years as an Illustrator and Fine Artist. Born in Norwalk Connecticut in 1958, Bill spent most of his life in New Milford Connecticut painting landscapes of the rural area, while supporting himself and family with his growing illustration career.

Bill is a Fellow in The American Society of Marine Artists, a Master Signature Member in the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society (NOAPS), a Master Signature Member of The Oil Painters of America (OPA), and a Signature Member of The American Society of Impressionists. He has also been elected to an Art Renewal Center (ARC) Associate Living Master.

His paintings have appeared in many national shows, museums, and private collections throughout the United States. Bill won 2nd place in the 2024 NOAPS “Best of America” show, where he holds the ranked 4th in all time awards and won 3rd place in the 2024 OPA Eastern Regional Show.

Bill believes that “through intense observation we begin to feel empathy for our subject and from that, comes understanding.”

His work is represented by Gallery on Park, Anderson Fine Art, The Good Art Company, Ballards Fine Art, Helena Fox Fine Art, Palm Avenue Fine Art, Hindes Fine Art, Cawdry Gallery, and Gingerbread square Gallery.

Bill lives in Venice, Florida with his wife, Debbie.
